Power Limits and Extension Cables

We have enough power for everyone, but only if you follow the rules.

The Limit

You get TWO (2) power outlets.

• One for your PC/Laptop.
• One for your Monitor.

Need more?

Bring a power strip.

• Plug your strip into one of your allocated outlets.
• Plug your phone charger, second monitor, etc., into your strip.
• Do not plug your strip into another strip (daisy-chaining).

Safety

• Do not bring a UPS. They cause load spikes that trip breakers.
• Do not bring a space heater, fan, or kettle.
• Keep cables tidy. Don’t create a trip hazard in the aisle.

Breaker tripped?

If your row loses power:

1. Unplug everything.
2. Tell staff which row.
3. Do not flip breakers yourself.
4. Staff will identify the overloaded circuit and redistribute load.
