How to Ask for Tech Help
The fastest way to get your problem fixed.
We want to help, but we are running the event at the same time. Here is how to reach us.
1. Ask Early
- Do not wait 3 hours hoping the problem fixes itself.
- If you can’t connect, tell us now.
- If your power is flickering, tell us immediately.
- You are not bothering us. That is why we are here.
2. Where to Ask
- Discord: Use the
#supportchannel. This is the best way because multiple staff members see it. - In Person: Find anyone wearing a Staff shirt/badge.
- Do not DM organizers directly. We might not see it.
3. What to Say
Don’t just say “It’s broken.” Tell us:
- Who: Your seat number (e.g., Row 4, Seat 12).
- What: “I can’t connect to the CS2 server” or “My power strip is sparking.”
- Status: “I tried rebooting and disabling firewall, still nothing.”
4. Expected Response Time
- Critical (Power/Network Down): Immediate.
- Game Issues: 5-15 minutes.
- “How do I install this mod?”: Low priority. Ask a neighbor first.
5. Escalation
If you posted in Discord and nobody replied in 15 minutes:
- Come to the organizer desk.
- Be polite. We are probably putting out another fire.
6. Ticket Template (Copy to Discord)
