Your First Hour: A Timeline

Don't panic. Follow the plan.

The first hour sets the tone. If you rush, you’ll be fixing things all weekend. Take it step by step.

0-15 Minutes: Arrival & Load-in

  1. Check in: Show your ticket barcode (phone or printed screenshot), then collect your badge/wristband.
  2. Find your seat: It’s first come, first served.
  3. Drop your gear: Put your PC/Monitor on the desk. Put bags under the table.
  4. Say hi: Introduce yourself to your neighbors. You’ll be sitting next to them for 48 hours.

15-30 Minutes: Physical Setup

  1. Power: Plug in your PC and Monitor. (Remember: 2 outlets max).
  2. Peripherals: Connect mouse, keyboard, headset.
  3. Network: Plug in the provided blue cable. Check for a link light on your port.
  4. Cable Management: Route cables so they don’t block the aisle or your mousepad.

30-45 Minutes: Boot & Connect

  1. Power On: Boot up your machine.
  2. DHCP Check: Make sure your network adapter is set to Automatic IP.
  3. Portal: Open spawn.ctrl-alt-gg.hu. If it loads, you’re online.
  4. Launchers: Open Steam/Battle.net. Let them update (they should pull from our local cache).

45-60 Minutes: Life Support

  1. Hydration: Fill your water bottle.
  2. Food Plan: Know where the food area is and when you’re eating.
  3. Toilet Run: You won’t want to move once the gaming starts.

60+ Minutes: Game Time

  • Join a server.
  • Jump in Discord.
  • Play.
