What to Bring (and What Not To)
A quick checklist for a smooth setup.
Pack for the setup you actually want to play on. Missing one cable can waste half your Friday.
Bring
- Your gaming PC (desktop or laptop)
- Power cable / charger for everything
- Monitor (if you’re bringing a desktop) + the right video cable (DP/HDMI)
- A power strip (you’ll have limited wall outlets)
- Mouse, keyboard, mousepad
- A headset (speakers are not allowed)
- Ethernet adapter if your laptop has no LAN port (USB-C/USB-A)
- Any small extras you rely on (controller, DAC, spare batteries)
You don’t need to bring an Ethernet cable - we provide those.
Don’t bring
- Speakers
- UPS units
- Your own switches/routers/access points
- High-draw appliances (kettle, heater, toaster, mini-fridge)
If you’re unsure, see What Not to Plug In.
Survival Kit
It’s not just your PC that needs to survive; you do too.
- Sleeping Gear: Sleeping bag, camping mat, pillow. (Expect gym-floor conditions.)
- Hygiene Kit: Toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, towel, shower gel.
- Earplugs: Mandatory if you want to sleep. The hum of 100 PCs is not a lullaby.
- Comfortable Clothes: Layered clothing is recommended.
Getting your PC there
If transport is a problem, ask in Discord ahead of time - someone usually has room in a car.
Seating
Seating is first come, first served. If you have special needs (e.g. you need a specific chair), let us know before the event.
